Job Description:

Conceptualize, deliver and manage GTB Trade Product Development strategy and initiatives in conjunction with the Global Head of Trade Product.  Incumbent will be a recognized Sharia expert within GTB and will work closely with Sharia, Legal, Compliance, Credit, IT and Trade Operations to develop new Islamic trade solutions and establish ADIB as a leader in Sharia compliant trade finance.  The role holder will also develop and managing product programs and process flows to mitigate credit and operational risk and enhance customer experience in relation to all Trade products. The jobholder will work with the Head of Trade Product and all related stakeholders to organize and control assigned projects from conceptual stage through product life cycle, to optimize profit, ensure commercialization and marketing of the product. The job holder will also facilitate direct management information preparation and fee income report generation for Trade products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Trade Product strategy and execution: Support Head of Trade Product to develop and deliver a trade finance product strategy establishing ADIB as a market leader of
• Islamic trade finance products. Assist in product development, product delivery and product governance to identify and address product gaps and promote market penetration. Support GTB in achieving trade related revenue targets across WBG, BBD and FI
• Communication: Communicate Trade products updates, ensuring clear understanding of our product capabilities across various customer touchpoints, including sales, relationship managers, implementation. Coordinate and arrange regular product training.
• Revenue: Contribute to revenue tracking and generation e.g. monitor fee and financing revenues realized through Trade product deployments and protect the business from revenue leakages.
• Market Intelligence: Understanding the trade market and identifying opportunities for ADIB to expand its portfolio of Islamic Trade Finance products. Conduct market research to understand client/industry trends and competitor offerings.
• Trade product management multi-country and multi-group: Support Sharia compliant GTB trade product development across WBG, BBD, FI and IBG and for GTB trade product in Egypt
• Sales structuring and support: Provide guidance and support to GTB and coverage sales teams in structuring and closing key trade transactions
• Product Launch: Conduct UAT for new Trade products and related channel developments to ensure seamless launch. Maintain close co-ordination with project stakeholders for project delivery and commercialization of products with revenue monitoring. Develop and manage product proposition and marketing campaigns
• Compliance: Ensure that all audit, legal, Sharia, security, compliance, and regulatory considerations associated with the delivery of GTB products and services are addressed and documentations are in place duly approved for a satisfactory audit.
• Sharia Trade Product expertise and stakeholder consensus: Provide critical Sharia expertise as GTB’s focal point in coordinating trade related products and projects with
• Sharia colleagues to facilitate market leading Sharia compliant trade products and automated, digitally enabled processes. Build consensus in creating and maintaining detailed product programs and processes together with Sharia, Compliance, Legal and other stakeholders

Job Requirements:

• Comprehensive understanding of Sharia compliant Trade products
• Robust understanding of different trade and financing systems
• Good team player with strong interpersonal skills and proven commercial track record
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to produce documentation
• Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure to meet tight schedules

Qualification & Experience:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Islamic Finance or Business management
• Experience in managing stakeholders, achieving consensus and influencing product delivery.
