Job Description:

To assist Sourcing Manager on assigned sourcing projects in a timely and cost effective manner, to deliver best value for money. Independently manage allocated projects within the scope of responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive internal request for quotations from business units
  • Send internal recommendations to business units with green light to proceed with purchase
  • Obtain quotations from selected vendors and perform evaluation of proposals in collaboration with Business units and under supervision of Sourcing Manager of the assigned category of spend
  • Conduct suppliers visits to assess their capabilities
  • Clarify requirements and prepare an external RFI / RFQ to be sent to selected approved vendors
  • Support preparation of agreements as and when needed, in collaboration with Group Legal department
  • Perform negotiation with vendors to deliver the best possible value for money for the organization considering Total Cost of Ownership / Acquisition
  • Functional Roles and Responsibilities

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of VM local market: suppliers, capabilities (design, carpentry, metal fabrication, painting etc.) materials (metal, styrofoam, acrylic, plexiglass, resins, wood works, etc.), categories (VM display tools, branding (LEDs, Signages, acrylics), VM printing (large & small formats), Props, Pop-up Stands, Gondolas, Store windows,
  • Temporary store refurbishments & fixtures, etc.).
  • Experience with ERPs is a desired (preferable Oracle or JD Edwards)
  • Experience with SAP Ariba sourcing is desired.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and agility in working on various simultaneous purchases / projects of various nature
  • Develop a detailed technical understanding of the assigned commodity / category of spend
  • Build internal relationship with business units to proactively understand and gather sourcing requirements
  • Deliver within agreed department SLA
  • Ideally within Visual Merchandizing (VM), Fabrication & Gifting items portfolios
  • Knowledge of Gifting local market: suppliers, categories (Delights, GWP, Promotional branded items, Flowers, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationship to influence internal & external stakeholders
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities are performed in accordance with internal policies and processes
  • Gain a wide market understanding on vendor capabilities, should costs, supply chain, etc.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Min 3-5 years’ experience within a procurement function,
  • Education/Certification and Continued Education Graduate (any discipline)
