Job Description:

The Urology Category Specialist leads the planning, forecasting, analysis, development and implementation of strategic procurement initiatives in partnership with end users across NMC. This position is also responsible for product analysis for Urology goods. This position reports to the Sr. Manager Medical Consumables

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead on all group procurement activities relating to Urology goods
• Develop vendor management strategy with the Procurement Contract Controller
• Ensures Urology procurement team follows NMC tender process for all Urology buying activities
• Manage the Urology procurement officer
• Responsibility for managing inventory supplies for Urology stock items including stores management and distribution
• Leads on contract negotiations with vendors and manage the contracting processing
• Coordinate procurement activities with NMC hospital Urology departments to gather scope and requirements for all third party contracted consumable purchases

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent communication skills and command of oral and written English.
• Minimum of 5 years related procurement experience
• UAE and healthcare experience is preferred but not essential
