Job Description:

The incumbent plays a key role in promoting, supporting and facilitating quality improvement activities across the university with responsibility for monitoring and reporting on institutional progress with the university’s Strategic Plan. He/She leads the university’s approach to a myriad of university rankings (THES, QS, Clarivate, etc.) and advises the university leadership on strategies for engagement with the rankings. The incumbent recommends strategies for improving the university’s performance in rankings, and develops, implements and evaluates the effectiveness of these strategies. The incumbent undertakes special projects designed to improve institutional performance in collaboration with academic and administrative leaders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with various stakeholders in the development and implementation of plans to improve institutional and unit-level performance.
• Promotes awareness and understanding of the university rankings across the university.
• Monitors and reports on the university’s progress with the Strategic Plan annually.
• Recommends on the development of key performance indicators to monitor institutional effectiveness.
• Undertakes special projects as required to improve institutional effectiveness and ranking performance.
• Analyzes and reports on institutional performance in various university rankings and recommends strategies for improving ranking performance.

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, and build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong organizational and project management skills and experience coordinating activity within a complex organization with diverse stakeholders.
• Advanced analytic skills and demonstrated expertise in interpreting and communicating complex data in a variety of formats to a variety of stakeholders.

Qualification & Experience:

• Graduate degree from a THES top 200 ranked university.
• Experience acquired in higher education sector preferred.
• Minimum of five years of equivalent experience.
• Experience developing and implementing institutional strategies based on complex data analysis.
