Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Pay attention to food cost – but not be constrained by it in the search for creating new and original product.
• To make Great Pastries and Desserts, with reference to the most creative and original work being done around the world today.
• To participate in and win competitions for originality, creativity and product quality.
• To oversee strict adherence to all required health & safety standards while performing the work.
• To be a Food Ambassador for Anantara, supporting new openings and Task Force missions
• Prepare special Showpiece productions for special occasions such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries, and display buffets.
• To develop the future great Pastry chefs of the industry. Identify and train chefs with the highest potential, and redeploy any chefs working in Pastry who do not have a passion for the work.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to handle a volume operation whilst producing a quality finished produce for a multi outlet operation
• The incumbent must have a diverse set of Pastry / Bakery skills and knowledge due to the nature and verity of the outlets, be hands on and a strong leader & trainer.
• Abel to lead and develop a Multi-Cultural Team
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Strong Understanding of Food Safety & Kitchen Hygiene
• Understanding of kitchen finance related topics such as food cost % ect
• Abel to work under pressure
• Minimum of 3 Years’ Experience in a Similar Position
• Flexible Work Attitude & Adaptable
• Must have a good command of English
