Apparel Group Careers – Head Italian Chef

Job Description:

We are seeking an Italian cuisine chef with specialty, in traditional Italian pasta preparation and presentation.

Job Responsibilities:

• MS-Excel – experience having built complex dashboards and models would give you an edge
• Introduce pricing and quality assurance within the Kitchen
• Manage the cooks, preparation staff and all front of house staff within the outlet
• Working knowledge or experience in using SQL Server (or other RDBMS tools) would be an advantage
• Prepare traditional pasta menus and dishes
• Ensure high standards of Hygiene and safety are maintained
• Live cooking preparation in front of guests
• Ensure staff are well trained and knowledgeable of food preparation and presentation
• Strong quantitative skills with knowledge of statistics and operations research.
• Negotiate with suppliers on all product ingredients and equipment
• Ability to code is VBA / R / Python is a plus

Job Requirements:

• Testing food preparation skills prior to selection will be required
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Preferred: Eastern European Nationals
• Excellent time management skills

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience within Italian cuisine food preparation
• Experience in Traditional Italian Pasta preparation is essential. The way “Mama” used to prepare
• Experience with the UAE market is essential
