Job Responsibilities:

  • Support in development, implementation and ensure adherence of policies and procedures
  • Lead identification and analysis of opportunities for improving/streamlining current processes and systems for efficient tracking, reporting and analysis and enhancement of customer service, ensuring collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure timely preparation, quality control and submission of regular reports (i.e. ER KPI and Management information reports) as well as ad hoc reports requested by management
  • Ensure preparation of periodical and ad hoc HR related reports for HR management, as well as for government and external regulators
  • Design and develop communications programmes in coordination with the HR Communication Officer to more clearly link Daman’s management to performance management
  • Lead and guide the team with the overall performance accountability of subordinates
  • Develop & conduct presentations and trainings to management/staff on performance appraisal system
  • Manage and support the implementation of competency framework system within Daman and train Managers to carry out competency assessment, determine employee development needs and provide support
  • Help and coach Line Managers on how to manage employee performance related issues and support them prepare Performance Improvement Plans where necessary
  • Oversee the development and implementation of key performance measures into the performance appraisal system
  • Assist the business in identifying the training needs and educational opportunities for employee development with the Learning & Development team
  • Advise business in liaison with the HR Advisory team on better methods to improve employees’ performance results on division level
  • Act as main point of contact for ER inquiries from both internal and external customers ensuring timely and accurate information and excellent customer service
  • Facilitate group discussions and performance calibration sessions to perform gap analysis and assessment needs
  • Guide the team’s research for best practices in human performance & design and revise performance management system and derive actionable insights
  • Manage analysis of existing systems to determine their ongoing ability to support stated objectives
  • Liaise between employees and management in coordination with HR Advisory team and provide advice in dealing with employee relations’ issues and maintain good relations
  • Manage the provision of advice and counselling to line managers and employees regarding employee practices, policies and employment laws

Job Requirements:

  • Very good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skills
  • Results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work
  • Good knowledge of HRMS and ERP Systems
  • Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
  • Good knowledge of health insurance concepts
  • Articulate and confident standing up and delivering to large audiences
  • Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage
  • Strong business understanding and background
  • Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organisation skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with local employment laws & regulations
  • Worked with multicultural people at all levels
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related fields
