Job Responsibilities:

  • Foster a regional culture of reducing waste without destroying value and be a key player in implementing Lean thinking and acting.
  • Drive fit-for-purpose Engineering information, based on both lagging and leading KPI’s. Drive the installation, roll-out and process standardization through Maximo.
  • Own Engineering Safety.
  • Create, generate, plan, review update, organise and manage the internal assessment plans which fulfil the responsibility of the terminals, scheduling and assigning work and estimating resource needs.
  • Support the long term planning of the business units.
  • Support and develop Engineering Risk Registers in all business Units, following Global Standard.
  • Involvement in the establishing of processes that represent the most effective way of achieving DP World’s engineering objectives.
  • Generate assessment reporting for the region and business unit. Meet regularly with DP World Senior management to ensure strategy and vision is assured and aligned with best business practise.
  • Share company’s policies, standards and best practices and system solutions via InnoGate, weekly call, direct communication with BUs and during annual regional meeting.
  • Ensure implementation of processes and procedures that are cost efficient and with due regard for safety, quality and productivity.
  • Implement and support the Reliability Framework for core terminal equipment in the BUs to achieve a state-of-the-art fleet of equipment that supports reliable and safe operations.
  • Develop innovation culture driven by example.

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

  • Knowledge of equipment automation.
  • In depth knowledge of mobile equipments mechanical & electrical system functionality, engineering, resource planning, procedures, business
  • processes, budgeting and related financial controls.
  • LEAN six sigma knowledge.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Knowledge of Safety, Environmental and Security and how they relate to terminal.
  • Analytical thinking towards successful process continuous improvement and procedures.
  • Graduate in mechanical/mechatronic engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the operation & maintenance of heavy vehicles, civil infrastructures works, workshop operations and with a keen interest in best business practices and process improvement.
