Drydocks World Careers – NDT Inspector

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and liaise with classification society, third party inspection agencies, ship superintendents and other trades, to ensure adherence to related standards.
• Raise occurrence report, develop corrective and preventive action if processes do not meet the specific requirements and ensure that rework is carried out to customer satisfaction.
• Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
• Complying with all Safety directives, and work instructions.
• Follow and comply to Information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.
• Collecting, updating and filing all relevant inspection records.
• Meeting all responsibilities as outlined in the DDW OHSMS.
• Perform NDT methods as per the Work Instructions, project requirements, International codes and Standards.
• Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls and to behave in a manner, which ensures that their actions or omissions, do not adversely affect the environment, health, safety and wellbeing of themselves, colleagues, contractors or members of the public.
• Immediately reporting any incident or potential hazard to their Supervisor or Safety Dept.
• STOP the task if you feel yourself or others may be harmed.
• Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
• Attend ant training for any activity required by department.
• Ensure that the work carried out complies with international construction codes, project specifications, tender, work instructions, procedure and manuals as appropriate.
• Participating in any training and safety initiatives implemented by the Company.
• Participation in work identification as required.

Job Requirements:

• Plan, perform and carry out inspections in shop and On-board. Accept / Reject / Suggest in case of failures on jobs.
• Should be conversant with applicable NDE / NDT techniques & standards. knowledge and Experience in ship repair and new building yard.
• Quality Control Inspection
• NDT/NDE techniques: ASNT Level II (UT,MT,PT), PCN Level II (UT,MT,PT)

Qualification & Experience:

• Degree / Diploma in relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role.
• Qualified ISO 9712 – PCN level II UT (3.1, 3.2, 3.8 & 3.9), MT, PT and ASNT Level 2 (UT, MT, PT, RT).
