Job Description:
Perform as functional leaders of the work preparation, putting in a proactive role in mentoring and training of piping preparators, identifying and implementing improvements and efficient processes leading to better performance focused on cost reduction, suggest and recommend & implement best practices to enhance quality and productivity of the yard.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate closely to other trades for critical request required for completion of piping construction.
- Vessel allocation of preparators.
- Highlighting discrepancies /critical material from Owner Specifications / Tenders.
- Check the list of materials requested against actual used and the RTS (Return to Store) for the return of excess materials of the project within 48 hrs prior to vessel departure.
- Liaise with SRM/Commercial Dept to resolve different Techno-Commercial interface issues.
- Support the Supervisor and other Sr. Foreman for development of completion programs.
- Liaise with Buyers / Purchase Dept for technical queries asked by respective supplier.
- Provide proposal for alternative materials in case the original requirements are not readily available in the local market.
- Follow-up and monitoring of materials ETA and timely highlight the delays to Supervisors.
Job Requirements:
- AutoCAD 2D/3D
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Manhour variance, inch dia /inch mtr in tracker, no. of spools
Qualification & Experience:
- 5 to 6 years of relevant experience.
- Diploma in Engineering
