Job Description:
Applications are invited for the position of Automation & Control Systems Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle maintenance operations of advanced automated material handling systems like Electric Monorail System, Bin Conveyor System, Automatic Storage and Retrieval System, Automated Guided Vehicle System (AGV) and Building Management System (BMS).
- Work on various application specific user interface software tools. Examine systems through these tools and generate reports.
- Able to work on innovative technologies in the field of advanced industrial automation, robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Analyze and propose applications of such technologies in the business.
- Work on specialist equipment such as PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VFDs, Servo packs, etc., from different manufacturers. Modify or update program logic based on the business requirements.
- Work on programming, diagnosing and troubleshooting of controllers and devices from various brands like Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Allan Bradley, Sick, Pilz, etc.
- Sound Knowledge to interpret Automated System Architecture.
- Set performance objectives that are clear, specific, challenging and achievable, provide regular and appropriate performance feedback to staff.
- Responsible for identifying Training Needs and execution of plans for the engineering teams.
- Deal with Emergencies and unplanned situations to avoid any major impact on the day-to-day operations.
- Prepare repair schedules ensuring cost effective and timely resolutions.
Job Requirements:
- Robust knowledge and experience of Electro-mechanical and Control Systems.
- Ability to work on Automation systems hardware and software from various brands like Siemens, Allan Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, etc.
- Ability to review technical drawings and interpret the details.
- Working knowledge in Auto cad and other advanced software’s.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems associated with maintenance and breakdown issues.
- Promote an atmosphere of team spirit through good example, open communication, good listening, and timely problem resolutions.
- Foster and support positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety performance, reliability, and cost of quality goals.
Qualification & Experience:
- Engineering Degree in Mechatronics or automation Engineering.
- 8 years of relevant experience handling maintenance & repair of advanced automated conveyors, monorails with Warehousing, Dairy, Food industry, Facilities or highly automated Industries.
