Job Description:

Reporting to the Cluster Director, Sales & Marketing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to general inquiries during site inspections
  • Assist with the maintenance of accounts, contact, activity and business details within appropriate software applications
  • Prepare and disseminate month-end reports
  • Maintain a positive relationship with all Guests, vendors, Colleagues and global sales network
  • Coordinate and oversee Opera Sales and Catering system to include definite, tentative and prospective group and catering booking activity.
  • Provide all administration duties for the Sales office
  • Prioritize all telephone calls and in-person visitors, scheduling appointments as required
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Generate group sales contracts, proposals and deposit/payment invoicing
  • Ensure all sales promotional literature is current and updated
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external Guests

Job Requirements:

  • Two years’ experience working for a luxury hotel; and/or other sales related experience preferred
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Opera Sales & Catering, and ability to understand and interpret financial data
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in a demanding and fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work extended hours when required
