Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing and managing company’s overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. Developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designs strategies and a Supply Chain for future effectiveness in the areas of Demand Planning, Procurement and Subcontract to guide teams to effectively capture and identify opportunities.
- Supports strategic negotiations to maintain current and grow new long-term business goals for GAL.
- Tasked to upgrade the skill sets, effectiveness, and efficiency within the department, through people development, process improvement and expansion of technology.
- Understands and challenges purchasing demand, specifications and cost budgets and set directions for improvements with functions heads.
- Manages section’s strategic and operational objectives (KPIs) that are aligned with and drive the achievement of GAL’s strategy and objectives.
- Manages the integration of multi-functional projects through developing, coordinating and evaluating projects plans, budget management and business analysis.
- Strategically develops and leads commodity/supply chain strategies covering all commodities, services and supplier processes to deliver maximum value, leverage, and standardization.
- Develops and maintains the SCM Supplier Registration process in order to improve effectiveness, efficiency while ensuring the appropriate supply base to deliver to the customer.
- Works closely with the Head of Technical Procurement to develop and implement long-term strategy for supply chain improvement and deliver improved operating results.
- Acts as a liaison for the SCM department to enhance and/or develop the operating processes
- Sets saving targets and drives compliance to the contracts and policies.
- Ensures the management, reporting, monitoring and improvement of the KPIs of the department to ensure performance improvement (e.g Demand Planning contractual KPIs, inventory management, maintaining inventory level, meet cost, quality and service level requirements).
- Be the first point of contact for any internal or external audit within the SCM department
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience presenting results in front of senior audiences
- Professional Project Management (PPM) or PMP Certification is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related technical field
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in relevant work experience in PMO or program/project management
- Master degree is preferred
