Job Description:
Due to the continued success of our GEMS Founders School, we are looking to recruit an Assistant Head Teacher – Achievement for Key Stage 4 and 5 for the next academic year. This role will be for a January 2025 start.
As we expand our provision with our inaugural Year 12 in September 2025, we are looking for a dynamic and competent senior leader to lead on Achievement and Wellbeing in Key Stage 4 and 5.

We are looking for an outstanding, innovative leader to join the GEMS Founders Family. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Associate Senior Leadership Team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with colleagues to ensure identified groups of students achieve.
- To develop and deliver parental engagement to work with key stakeholders and deliver key messages.
- Support with the self-evaluation and school improvement process for the school in your key area.
- Be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team in all GFM events.
- Optimising wellbeing and maximising attendance in Key Stage 4 and 5.
- Managing these key areas across the school to ensure consistency and impact.
- Managing the Quality Assurance of data and assessment in Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
- Ensuring the quality of provision for the use of Data and Assessment in Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
Job Requirements:
- A certified teaching qualification, at degree level such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent . Open University or online degrees are not acceptable.
- At least 3 years of solid and demonstrable experience in senior leadership in a Secondary School in a British curriculum or equivalent experience in a similar role or whole school leadership
- Strong data literacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents.
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience of being an effective curriculum leader.
- A leadership qualification such as NPQSL, or NPQH or a master’s degree in educational leadership.
- UAE British School teaching experience.
