Job Description:

Work with the Internal Audit (IA) Principals to plan, manage and provide comprehensive assurance and advisory services, with a view to providing management an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of risk management and governance across the Emirates Group. Proactively advise and assist management in the identification and mitigation of risks, as well as achieving protection and efficient utilisation of corporate resources. Manage and enhance a comprehensive Information Systems Auditing (ISA) service through effective use of data analytics skills and technology. Maintain and enhance Internal Audits existing technology environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control to ensure accuracy of data and deliverables in-line with internal audit/organisational standards and regulatory requirements (such as GDPR, PCI-DSS).
  • Work with the IA Principals to provide assurance and advisory services with a view to assisting the business in enhancing operational efficiency, improving revenue and reducing costs whilst promoting and influencing the adoption of best practice control and governance frameworks.
  • Maintain and enhance Internal Audits existing technology environment encompassing AIMOnline (in-house Audit Management Solution). Lead, manage and optimise processes for data intake, validation, mining, and engineering as well as modelling, visualising, and communicating deliverables. Ensure compliance with all Emirates
  • Group IT standards for all of the aforementioned Internal Audit activity.
  • Support the planning, scoping, execution and reporting of audit/advisory assignments based on risk profile and data insight requirements. This is to be achieved through the effective management of audit analysts, EGIT resources and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain contacts with professional bodies related to travel and other industries (e.g. ISA, IT and IS Security professions) as well as external entities (e.g.
  • Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA), International Association of Airline Internal Auditors (IAAIA), external auditors and government auditors) to keep up to date with emerging best practices to apply them when and where appropriate.
  • Take responsibility for performance and development of staff through effective coaching and engagement.
  • Support the follow-up on audit recommendations with line management to assess completion of audit actions in a timely manner.
  • Conceptualise, propose, and finalise training requirements and lead training programmes that impart skills to audit staff in using various data analytic and risk management tools and techniques.
  • Develop relationships with key members of management (VPs/Senior managers etc.) across the Emirates Group and advise/support them on improving risk management and internal control through the use of data analytics.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of airline, travel agency, catering and ground handling businesses.
  • Be well-informed on recent developments in relevant areas of technology.
  • Finance & Insurance.Audit : 8+ Years
  • Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills.
  • Be able to multi-task and handle several diverse projects concurrently and independently.
  • Be proactive, dynamic, and forward thinking.
  • Must be able to quickly analyse problems and propose effective solutions, implement them, and see them through to conclusion.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
  • ISACA – CISA certification
  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
  • Experience in Information Technology and IT or IS Auditing field. Fewer years will be considered for those with relevant experience.
