Job Description:

The Specialist provides effective IT assistance across all aspects in the network and server. Responsible for supporting and maintaining the Network switches, routers and servers, and other job responsibilities assigned. Performs network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with design, implementation, monitoring, security, and support of all institutional Network (LAN/WAN).
• Monitors and troubleshoot all layer 2 and 3 firewall, switches, routers, and wireless devices such as CISCO, Aruba, Fortinet, etc.
• Maintain Network Topology and update as and when required.
• Cisco ACI Data Center Network experience preferred.
• Network Security Technologies including Cisco ISE, FortiGate.
• Secures network systems by enforcing policies; defining and monitoring network access.
• Building and setting up new servers used in the organization using latest server operating system windows server 2016 and above.
• Administrating AD, DNS and DHCP servers.
• Planning for server security patches updates and rebooting schedule.
• Planning, design and implement group policies.
• Managing VMware environment with multiple storage brands (Lenovo, IBM, netapp, etc.).
• Special projects and assignments as per business needs.
• Issuance of new email or domain users in G-Suite and Office 365.
• Collecting and filing of all IT Asset documents.
• Act as IT Support to users whenever required.
• Generate and update different kind of reports (assists IPs, SAP, E-mails) periodically.
• Perform other colleagues job either during their absence or in situation if required.
• Assist senior management to assess and plan future network needs; recommends standards, specifications, and methodologies for network operations.

Job Requirements:

• Strong knowledge on VLan and VTP on Cisco switches.
• Routing protocols like OSPF and BGP. Policy based routing, VRF-light. Static, Dynamic, and Port overloading techniques of NAT.
• Configure IP Addressing scheme for different topologies. Windows administration experience.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Technology, Master’s degree is a plus.
• Diploma in similar field, fluent in communicative English & Arabic is a plus, Masters is recommended. CCNA certification is preferred.
• Strong experience in VPN configurations.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, Fortinet firewalls, Cisco ISE.
• 6-8 years with team handling experience is a plus. 7-9 years of related experience including data center server and storage administration, routing, switching, etc.
