Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Junior Sous Chef to join our Culinary Department in Jumeirah Al Qasr and Dar Al Masyaf Hotel
Job Responsibilities:
- Write specific and accurate product specifications and standard recipes for use in the computer and by the material manager
- Assist Chef de cuisine/Sous chef in the supervision of all colleagues engaged in the kitchen.
- Assist Chef de cuisine/Sous Chef in planning menus and recipes and test samples in conjunction with the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef.
- Coordinate and execute training of the kitchen colleague, be able to motivate, cook any food on a daily basis according to business requirements.
- Assist the Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine to set standards and maintain them to the Jumeirah Standard.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the department in-charge by optimizing the use of materials and manpower, thereby maximising revenue and guest satisfaction
Job Requirements:
- Ability to create standard recipes
- At least one year an international five star hotel experience in similar role or above
- Culinary Diploma
- Computer skills
- Ability to establish culinary standards
