Job Description:
The Mobile Engineer will work as an integral part of the Mobile team reporting to Mobile Tech Lead, building and maintaining Namshi’s Android and iOS Apps in compliance with our internal quality standards and industry best practices.
Namshi’s award-winning mobile app is home to fashion lovers all around the region, with millions of visitors a month, we make sure that our app users get cutting edge features and blazingly fast performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement new features of the app by converting the designs/wireframes given by the UX team into high-quality code.
- Write efficient code in Swift programming language.
- Find out root causes of bugs and crashes and write code to mitigate/fix them.
- Monitor the app performance and other metrics using third-party tools such as Crashlytics and
- Firebase. Raise alerts if metrics are not doing well.
- Identify bad code practices, code smells and other architectural issues in existing code to convert the code into the latest architecture.
- Actively develop skills in new platforms/tools used by the Mobile team.
Job Requirements:
- Sufficient knowledge of iOS SDK usage, View debugging and frame rate optimizations.
- Practical experience writing unit tests for iOS apps.
- Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly.
- E-commerce domain knowledge
Qualification & Experience:
- 4+ years’ experience developing large scale iOS apps using Swift programming language.
- Experience with Firebase Analytics SDK
- Experience working with Git
- Experience working with Postman
- Experience working with JIRA software
