Job Description:
Lead the development and facilitate the implementation of the Transition Plan for LRA up to Substantial Completion of all four Units. Develop and execute licensing strategies for Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) to obtain necessary Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) approvals for regulatory initiatives to support efficient plant operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, to meet the Section’s requirements and standards
- Conduct research and analysis to develop and support strategic regulatory initiatives.
- Implement and assist in the development of short-term and long-term regulatory strategies in coordination with LRA Management, the Licensing Project Division, Licensing Strategy Division, and the Project, and Controls (SPC) function to support future projects requiring FANR approval.
- Develop a transition plan for LRA in coordination with the Licensing Project Division, up to Substantial Completion of all four Units to facilitate the transfer of responsibilities to LRA Operations in alignment with the issuance of the Nawah Operating License.
- Lead the Licensing Strategy Section to identify regulatory projects for efficient and effective operations and provide licensing strategy.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to understand complex nuclear engineering issues.
- Ability to develop and carry out change management plans.
- Understands regulatory requirements relative to the modification of a nuclear power plant.
- Knowledge of nuclear industry standards.
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience in other areas of nuclear business such as safety analysis, engineering, maintenance, operations, quality assurance, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related Science
- 5 years nuclear power plant experience in licensing & regulatory affairs.
