Job Description:

The individual assigned to this position will serve as the BIM Manager reporting to the VP and Infrastructure Design Director for the Parsons Dubai & Northern GCC Sector. The role requires a specific four-way set skills to run that side of the business properly.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support all business development efforts and responses to RFPs
• Support the Parsons Dubai Sector with their mission to acquire BIM Capabilities
• Oversee integration of BIM and Information Technology
• Assist MEA in acquiring the ISO 19650 certification for through BSI
• Develop and drive the adoption of BIM standards, processes & procedures
• This position requires continuous internal and external sales of Building Information Modeling. Thus, the individual must be able to speak the language of people and computers explaining BIM both outward to client and client – facing staff as well as inward to Project Managers and project staff members.
• Understanding Business: Must understand the Engineering and Construction project lifecycle and what is at stake when making decisions.
• Individuals with this role should always be willing to take an innovative risk in coming up with solutions and strategies to address challenges.
• Persuading counterparts in adopting technologies, while balancing that with findings of meaningful project and client benefits of such innovative solutions is vital.
• This position requires a solid technology foundation which is critical to project manage the deployment and manage BIM Managers level staff across the enterprise. Another component to technology is the ability to collaborate with Information Technology staff laying the groundwork for a strong BIM technical environment.
• Responsible for the review, implementation and adoption of the MEA Engineering Digital Transformation (EDT) Roadmap

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience with ISO 19650, BS 1192 Standards and PAS 1192 or similar BIM standards
  Cost / benefit analysis
• Develop Pre and Post Contract BIM Execution Plan and development of Task and Master Information Delivery Plan (TIDP and MIDP)
• Middle East/Gulf Countries’ recent experience that is relevant to BIM
• Technical presentations
• Experience with, but not limited to, de facto industry BIM and Engineering Systems tools such as Autodesk® Revit, Autodesk® Civil3D,
• Autodesk® Infraworks 360, Autodesk® BIM 360, Autodesk® Dynamo, Autodesk® MDx Tools, Lua scripts, Autodesk® Navisworks, Bentley
• Systems® ProjectWise, Bentley Systems® AECOsim, Bentley Systems® OpenRoads, Bentley Systems® OpenBridges, Bentley Systems®
• OpenStructures, Sketchup…etc.
• Strong skills in conflict and issue resolution management
• Quantity take-off / estimating, COBie experience
• Knowledge and experience with of the U.S. BIM Standards
• Minimum 15 years of relevant and progressive professional experience
• Client / partner relations, training / training development
• Corporate needs analysis
• Development of BIM Modeling standards and processes
• Development of VDC standards across the company’s various business and service lines
• Strong Leadership skills in interfacing and working with internal Parsons Staff, Parsons Clients and subs, contractors…etc
• Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) projects implementation experience
• Project execution planning and resource management

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years BIM experience with specialty in UTILITIES Design
• Experience in developing 3D, 4D and 5D BIM models
• Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry
