Job Description:
To help conceptualize, plan, and implement marketing initiatives to identify and acquire quality marketing services and to develop advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Planning: Help formulate & articulate the marketing strategy and business plan in line with Communication Directorate plans and QF Strategy. Prepare an annual Marketing calendar
- SOPs: Help formulate and develop for the entire Marketing team, including formats and policies, and take ownership of relevant processes and ensure compliance
- Brand & consumer research: Help develop research goals and select agencies. Forward recommendations to supervisor for approval and subsequent presentation to Director
- Campaigns & projects: Help identify key messages and expected outcomes. Prepare marketing briefs, provide input on creative themes, and obtain input from stakeholders. Ensure that the team has a thorough understanding of objectives and expected results, and ensure that media channels identified align with the media plan
- Marketing: Help prepare an integrated plan, guide in receiving properly-formatted requests and conveying acceptance or denial of requests on the basis of scope of work, timelines and intended marketing objectives. Supervise execution of media booking requests
- Advertising: Identify target print media and advertising opportunities in line with the media plan strategy and approved budget, prepare advertorial and advertising briefs for Internal and External Communication teams
- Corporate website: collaborate with Head of Digital & Social Media to refine website layout and design on a regular basis
- Digital content and corporate videos: Create concepts and story boards and liaise with production houses on the development of short corporate marketing films. Supervise and provide briefs for video productions, photography, and creation of other digital content
- Shared Services: Ensure delivery of services within agreed timelines, Service Level Agreements & budget. Identify & share corrective actions with team to improve performance. Submit timely reports to supervisor for quarterly shared services review meeting
- Customer feedback: Formulate and update surveys for marketing & creative services rendered, analyze results and findings, and discuss & review with supervisor
- Outsourcing: Help identify vendors and outsourcing partners based on departmental work load and long-term needs; follow procedures for appointment of vendors, modification of contracts, and issuance of work completion certificates, and take ownership of vendor & agency appraisals
- Audits: Liaise with CCO office. Cooperate fully; implement & monitor corrective actions identified
- Sponsorships: Identify, evaluate, pursue, and develop corporate sponsorships. Negotiate partnership details, monitor sponsor payments, and ensure contractual adherence. Manage the related advertising strategy
- Branding: Collaborate with supervisor to develop & update the QF brand manual. Define co-branding guidelines and monitor compliance in all marketing communications; report non-compliance incidents to supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of corporate and foundation funding trends, corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, corporate giving, and the methods, practices & procedures of cause-marketing programs; experience developing corporate sponsorships strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent time management, planning, and project management skills
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Management or a related field; Master’s or higher preferred
- 6-8 years of relevant full-time work experience, preferably in a large organization, at least 2 of which in a supervisory role; project management certification or experience an advantage
- Experience in strategic planning and proposal development, and in the identification, solicitation and closing of sponsorships and business deals
